Established in 1998 Caledonian Bears have emerged as a family business creating specialist quality Teddy Bears, these bears generate interest amongst discerning collectors and individuals looking for that unique and charming gift.
Featured in both Country Living Magazine and Teddy Bear Times UK, the bears have developed a loyal following internationally and within the UK.
Morven and Iain Mackenzie continue to run this small family business to make these quality hand made bears in our workshop at Neptunes Staircase, which is the origonal smiddy that was used when Thomas Telford decided to build the Caledonian Canal.
Our workshop at Neptunes Staircase is closed and we no longer make bears there, when Scottish Waterways re-open the Old Smiddy our bears will once again be available to buy there. You can always buy them directly from this website.

It is not only collectors who buy these delightful bears though, most of our customers are people just visiting the canal to take in the natural surrounding beauty and have never bought a collectors bear before. They come in to our shop for a visit but are unable to leave without taking one of our bears for themselves or a close friend.
