Our bears are handmade in the scottish highlands with tweed. Their noses are sewn on with wool and they are stuffed with premium polyester. Our Wee bears are about 16” (40cm) tall and weigh in at about a pound (4250g). Our large bears are fully jointed, 18” (45cm) tall and weigh about three pounds (1.2-1.6kg).
When we make our bears clothes we always try to achieve as much variety as possible with materials and colours.
When you order a bear online we will normally choose one off the shelf for you and the clothes may be made from tweed or tartan. You can however have the opportunity to express any colour or material i.e. tweed or tartan preference in the comments box "Add special instructions to the seller:" when going through the paypal payment process, or just email/phone us.
Colours and tartans vary according to availability so we cannot guarantee an exact match to any picture.
All our bears are collectors` items and are not toys or suitable for children.
You are able to buy direct from the website by clicking on the “add to cart” buttons beside each bear on its own page, this will bring you to the payment page where you can check your order, checkout or continue shopping. You can buy with your paypal login or if you do not have a paypal account you can pay with your debit or credit card through paypal.
We do not have any access to or retain any of your card details on this website as this is managed securely by paypal. If you make any errors or change your mind once you order please email or phone us as soon as possible, as the payment can be reversed without cost of return postage if the item has not already been posted.
You are also able to make payment by posting a cheque made out to caledonian bears to our address above though normally we would wait for a cheque to clear before posting a bear out to you
We will normally post your bear within two days but sometimes it could take up to five working days, if you have an occasion or a date you would need a bear delivered by please email or phone to let us know and we will do our best to get it to you on time or let you know if it is not possible.
The postage rates can change so check here before making your order, also for some overseas orders postage time can take up to eight weeks or more
For orders up to £24.99 postage will cost £3.00
For orders £25 to £94.99 postage will cost £6.50
For orders £95 to £225.99 postage will cost £10.00
For orders £226 to £399.99 postage will cost £12.00
For orders above £400.00 postage will cost £20.00
When you purchase using the add to cart buttons postage is charged automatically but you can see the postage charge in the paypal payment page.
Overseas buyers are responsible for all taxes, duties and charges levied by Customs authorities.
You may cancel your order within 7 working days after the day you receive your order, for any reason. You will only be expected to pay the cost of returning the goods to us and we recommend using registered or special delivery. Your money will be refunded within 30 days of cancellation. Please email first before returning goods. If you receive a defective bear then we will refund the cost of the return postage and you will have the option of a refund of the cost of your order or a replacement bear sent out to you.
We expect our customers to have years of enjoyment from our bears, however should your bear have problems with faulty stitching or materials within one year it will be replaced.
